Showing 21 of 148 measurements. Core measurements are the most broadly useful starting points.

Head

This group encompasses all measurements related to the head and facial features. It includes cranial dimensions such as head length, breadth, and girth; facial measurements like nose length, lip length, and ear length; and various point-to-point distances on the head such as distances from the back of the head to facial landmarks, forehead width, and biocular distance. These measurements are essential for medical assessments, helmet design, eyewear fitting, and facial recognition applications.

Arm

This group includes all measurements related to the upper limbs, from the shoulders down to the fingertips. It encompasses arm segment lengths (upper arm, forearm, and combined upper limb length), shoulder dimensions (breadth measurements), wrist and grip measurements, and various reach and span measurements. These measurements are critical for workspace design, ergonomic assessments, clothing design, and understanding functional reach capabilities. The group also includes height measurements of arm-related landmarks when standing.

Leg

This group covers all measurements related to the lower limbs, from the hips down to the feet. It includes leg segment lengths (thigh, leg, and combined measurements), hip dimensions and heights, knee and popliteal measurements, and various measurements related to sitting and standing postures. These measurements are essential for furniture design (especially seating), automotive interior design, clothing design (pants and lower body garments), and understanding mobility and clearance requirements.

Torso

This group includes measurements of the trunk and core body region. It encompasses chest dimensions (breadth and depth), abdominal measurements, neck circumference, and various sitting-related measurements such as sitting height, sitting eye height, and sitting shoulder height. It also includes trunk length and dorsom length measurements. These measurements are crucial for clothing design, medical assessments, furniture design (especially seating and backrests), and understanding body proportions and posture.

Overall

This group contains measurements that span multiple body parts or represent overall body dimensions. The primary measurement is stature (total standing height), which is a fundamental anthropometric measurement used as a reference for many other measurements and applications. It also includes eye height and seat height, which are overall measurements that don't fit neatly into a single anatomical region. These measurements are essential baseline data for ergonomic design, medical assessments, and understanding overall body proportions.
