Elbow Height

The height from the floor to the elbow while standing.

ElbowHeight

How to measure

Application

Used to determine the optimal height for standing work surfaces, conveyor belts, and counters to minimise fatigue during standing tasks.

Posture

Stand upright, arms hanging relaxed at the sides with a natural slight bend at the elbow.

Landmark

Measured from the floor to the bottom of the elbow joint.

Tool

Tape measure fixed vertically to a wall.

Common mistake

Fully straightening or locking the elbow shifts the landmark position upward and inflates the result.

API example
